A requirement for improved thermal efficiency as well as security was the challenge facing CPS on their project for a major UK Data Centre provider.

The company who specialise in providing multi-user data centre sites across the UK and Ireland offer their customers access to a “data-centre within a data-centre” environment. CPS were heavily involved at the early design stage by the lead architect, alongside the clients structural and civil engineering partners to ensure that all critical build requirements were not only met, but surpassed.

Essential to the client’s needs was the ability for the individual modules to be expanded in the future with no constraints regarding capacity, space or power. Each unit build provided our client with a 3,000ft square data centre which delivered the same capacity as a traditional 10,000 ft. square facility.

The success of this project was due to our ability to engage closely with other contractors at the outset to ensure that at all stages tight project deadlines were achieved as well as meeting required budgetary constraints. A combination of different panel types were utilised on this job and CPS also provided the structural steelwork to ensure compliance on the project.
